POWDER COATING BENEFITS

POWDER COATING BENEFITS

No Outsourcing, No Delays

Keep finishing in-house to eliminate shipping, scheduling conflicts, and production delays.

Consistent Finish, Every Time

Maintain colour and texture consistency across parts, even when produced at different times.

Reduced Handling Risk

Finishing parts under one roof eliminates scratches, chips, and dents caused by transit to and from external paint shops.

FINISH WITH CONSISTENCY, CONTROL, AND QUALITY

Powder Coating FAQs

Painting typically uses liquid coatings that air-dry or cure, while powder coating uses a dry powder that is electrostatically applied and then baked on to form a hard, uniform finish. Powder coating generally provides better durability, chip and scratch resistance, and colour retention than standard wet paint, making it a strong choice for production parts and demanding environments.

We control each step of the finishing process, from surface prep to cure, so parts see the same treatment every time. By standardizing powders, spray parameters, and cure cycles, and by referencing previous job specifications, we can match colour and texture across different orders—even when parts are produced at different times.

Yes. We regularly run standard finishes like White Sandtex and Ultra Flat White, and can use them as either finished coats or primers depending on your needs. If you require a specific brand colour or existing finish matched, we can review a chip or sample part and work with our powder suppliers to get as close a match as possible.

Parts go through an automated wash system that cleans with iron phosphate and conditions the surface, followed by air-drying to remove any remaining moisture. Once properly prepped, they move into the powder coat booth for application and then through a controlled bake cycle to ensure proper adhesion and a consistent, durable finish.

Bringing powder coating in-house eliminates the extra shipping, scheduling, and handling that come with sending parts to an outside paint shop. It shortens lead times, reduces the risk of transit damage, and allows us to move finished parts directly into final assembly, inspection, and packaging, so you receive components ready to go on the line.
